Company Overview
TARANGAA Vibroacoustic Technologies is a deep-tech firm specializing in advanced acoustics, vibration, and structural shock solutions for India’s critical sectors—including infrastructure, industry, and defense. Founded by Dr. Ch V Surya Narayana Reddy and mentored by Prof. Chandramouli Padmanabhan (IIT Madras), we bridge the gap between academic research and real-world performance.
Our expertise spans architectural acoustics, vibration isolation for transport infrastructure, industrial noise control, automotive NVH, and naval stealth technologies. With a focus on low-frequency challenges and India’s unique sonic environments, we deliver custom solutions using simulation-driven design, acoustic metamaterials, and robust field engineering.
Chairman’s & Mentor’s Note
With over 30 years in vibroacoustics—spanning nonlinear dynamics, fluid-structure interaction, and metamaterials—my journey has bridged academia, research, and industry. As Professor and Head of Mechanical Engineering at IIT Madras, my work has focused on applying deep scientific insights to real-world acoustic challenges.
TARANGAA was founded with a vision to address India’s unique noise landscape—urban density, cultural vibrancy, and industrial complexity—through indigenous, high-impact solutions. Alongside Dr. Ch V Surya Narayana Reddy, we are building a company grounded in research, driven by innovation, and committed to excellence.
As Chairman and Mentor, I guide our R&D in advanced tools like FEM, BEM, and modal analysis, and lead the development of low-frequency metamaterials tailored to Indian environments. TARANGAA is not just a consultancy—it’s a movement to make India a global contributor in acoustics and vibration control.
Founder’s Note
With over 15 years of hands-on experience in acoustics, noise, and vibration—spanning automotive, metro infrastructure, industrial plants, and large public spaces—I’ve seen a consistent gap: most solutions aren’t built for India.
Despite working with the best global technologies, I found they often fell short in addressing India’s unique soundscape—marked by low-frequency noise, structural vibrations, and unpredictable high-noise events.
This realization led to the founding of TARANGAA—a company rooted in indigenous innovation, performance validation in Indian conditions, and a deep commitment to acoustical excellence. Our goal is not just to provide solutions, but to redefine what’s possible in acoustic and vibration control in India.
